Coach, Official, Team Manager Tutor Workshop

Outcome for staff attending this session: Will be able to deliver the Coach, Official and Team Manager Workshop to their students
Outcome of the Coach, Official and Team Manager for Young People: This workshop is designed to help young people transition from leadership that they may have undertaken at school in the curriculum or within the community into meaningful deployment. At the end of the workshop the young people should be able to make an informed decision on which sporting role they wish to progress into to build on their existing leadership skills and experiences to support the delivery of the school games at level 1 and 2.
The purpose of the session is to help young people to:
- understand the range of volunteering opportunities in sport
- understand the tasks that each role needs to do pre, during and post competition
- consider the task, skills and values required to undertake a coach, official or team manager role
- self-review where their skills and interest lie
- agree their next steps of their volunteering journey
