Level 4: Sainsbury’s School Games finals event

Dates: Sunday 6th May through to Wednesday 9th May 2012

Location: On the 6-8th May the event will be at ExCeL, Old Loughtonians Hockey Club and Barking RFC and on Wednesday 9th May at the Olympic Park

This is a national multi-sport event, in which the country’s most talented athletes of school age will complete if selected by a National Governing Body of Sport. This event will take place in high quality venues amongst a unique and vibrant atmosphere to replicate the world’s top sporting occasions. In 2012 the Sainsbury’s  School Games finals are being held in Olympic venues, including the Olympic Stadium! Educational aims

To provide opportunities for young people to aspire to excellence through increased responsibility in developing their chosen path as participant or leader/volunteer. Schools with athletes and volunteers attending this event will be acknowledged and recognised nationally.
