The multi-talented Torquay Boys' Grammar School pupil, George Fearnley came away with the Junior Sports Personality Award at last night's Europlas Torbay Sports Personality Awards, which took place at the Riviera International Conference Centre
George has been fast-tracked into the England Schools Junior Performance Squad, after picking up his first national swimming title.
COMMONWEALTH GAMES bound bowls star Sam Tolchard has been revealed as Torbay's Senior Sports Personality of the Year.
Tolchard is England's reigning under-25 singles champion and also a world pairs champion at indoor bowls.
And he became the first person to win England's player and young player of the year awards at the same time.
Among his outdoor bowls achievements, he has won a silver medal at the Junior Commonwealth Games, and became Champion of Champions. He also represents England at senior and U25 level.
He is currently preparing to represent England at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
