EUROPLAS Torbay Sports Personality Awards 2010
Nominations for the sports stars, coaches and committed volunteers from Torbay are now being sought, in order to recognise and celebrate their achievements and successes over the past year.
The Awards comprise of 9 categories and you can nominate as many people or sports teams that you would like. So who do you think are the most deserving from our sporting community in Torbay?
Nomination closing date is Friday 5th March 2010
Eligibility
All the nominees must reside or be in full-time education within the district of Torbay. To be eligible for all junior awards, the individuals must be under 18 years of age on 31/03/2010.
If you wish to make more than one nomination, submit a nomination for each person.
Categories
Nominations are invited for the following categories of awards for the sporting year of 2010.
| 1 | SENIOR SPORTSPERSON OF THE YEAR In recognition of an individual who has achieved local, regional or national success within their sport during the period January 2009 to March 2010. |
| 2 | JUNIOR SPORTSPERSON OF THE YEAR In recognition of an individual, under the age of 18 on the 31/03/2010, who has achieved local, regional or national success within their sport during the period January 2009 to March 2010. |
| 3 | SPORTSPERSON OF THE YEAR WITH A PHYSICAL/LEARNING DISABILITY In recognition of an on-going success or an achievement made in sport or physical activity by an individual in this special needs category during the period January 2009 to March 2010. |
| 4 | JUNIOR VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR In recognition of an individual, under the age of 18 on 31/03/2010, who has contributed significantly to the development of a team, club, group or individual and has shown true dedicated service to a given club or sport within the community. |
| 5 | SENIOR VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR In recognition of an individual coach, teacher, or parent who has contributed significantly to the development of a team, club, group or individual and has shown true dedicated service to a given club or sport within the community. |
| 6 | COACH OF THE YEAR In recognition of a coach who has led a team, squad or an individual to success in the sporting field during the period January 2009 to March 2010. |
| 7 | SENIOR TEAM OF THE YEAR In recognition of a senior team who have achieved local, regional or national success within their sport. |
| 8 | JUNIOR TEAM OF THE YEAR In recognition of a junior team who have achieved local, regional or national success within their sport. |
| 9 | SPORTS DEVELOPMENT TORBAY COMMUNITY CLUB OF THE YEAR In recognition of a Torbay Community Club who have demonstrated an exceptional drive for club development and whose members have shown the ambition, dedication and skills needed to develop their club further. |
